In this role, you will take ownership of project leadership and execution, guiding projects from start to finish. You will establish project goals, define scope, and manage resources efficiently to keep projects on track and ensure that key milestones are met. Your communication skills will be essential as you manage stakeholders and coordinate with project teams to foster clear communication of project progress, challenges, and resolutions. By maintaining detailed project documentation—including schedules, progress reports, and budgets—you will ensure transparency and provide comprehensive records at each stage. Additionally, you will proactively identify and assess project risks, developing effective strategies to mitigate potential issues and maintain project momentum.
The ideal candidate has a proven background in managing complex IT projects, ideally holding a PMP or similar project management certification. Strong expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies is essential to effectively guide projects through structured phases while adapting to changing requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required to manage project teams and engage stakeholders, ensuring that project goals are clearly understood and that progress updates foster alignment and trust. Proficiency in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports, is critical to track project milestones and resources efficiently. Strong risk management skills are also crucial, with the ability to anticipate potential issues, develop effective mitigation strategies, and resolve challenges swiftly to keep projects on track and meet objectives.
Qualifications: We expect candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is advantageous, as are relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2. Additionally, technical proficiency in tools like MS Project, Asana, JIRA, or Trello is valuable, as well as a solid understanding of technical requirements specific to IT projects. This position is best suited for individuals with a minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role handling large-scale, complex projects.
